About this course
The conference is sponsored by Valdosta State University and offered free to mental health professionals and school counselors in the South Georgia region. This one-day conference will allow the Valdosta State University Counselor Education Program faculty and students to collaborate with the professional counselors in the community. A strong relationship is critical for the success of the counseling program, students, and professional counselors. Collaboration will assist in identifying the mental health needs in the local school, community and profession and strategies for improving communication and collaboration across schools and clinical mental health agencies in meeting the needs of students and clients. Participants will engage in professional development opportunities that focus on online supervision, working with military families, and practical interventions.
