About this course
This course prepares clinicians to deliver telemental health services ethically, legally, and effectively. Participants will explore the challenges that electronic communication presents for confidentiality, privacy, and professional practice while gaining an understanding of the evolving legal, ethical, and clinical considerations surrounding telehealth services. Trainees will develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of providing care across various forms of electronic communication, apply ethical decision-making frameworks, and incorporate best practices into their clinical work.
To support practical application, the conference includes interactive scenario analysis and role-playing exercises that reinforce key concepts and encourage participants to apply course material to real-world situations. These activities introduce a structured approach to ethical decision-making, helping clinicians confidently address common challenges encountered in telemental health practice.
